Virginia Governor’s Race

Well good old Ralph Northam and his leftist massas have actually managed to worry Virginia parents enough for them to consider succeeding him with a moderate Republican. Aided by the weak approval numbers from the Biden Administration, GOP Nominee Glenn Younkin is surprisingly competitive in his bid again Clinton acolyte and former Governor Terry McAuliffe… or at least that’s the story they’d like you to believe.

Personally, I think that while national politics is certainly playing its role in the race, the reason Younkin is having such a strong showing is far more uncomfortable for both nationals Dems and statewide GOP than is being reported.

First… The close race shows a rejection of the far left policies that Northam has ushered into the commonwealth. Whether it be his open embracing of Black Lives Matter rioters, his insistence on teaching racism (CRT) to school children, his failed attempt at a gun grab, or his insane need to have zero restrictions on abortions… even after birth in some cases… The VA GOP only needed any kind of moderate to be competitive… and in some kind of miracle, Liberty University didn’t force the nomination someone who thinks the Earth is 6,000 years old and that gays control the weather.

Follow that with some VMI heavy hitters like the Gottwalds and the Minors pushing hard to punish the Virginia Dems for their broadside attack on our beloved institute, and all of a sudden we have a real horse race. Let’s hope Younkin pulls it out… then let’s hope VMI has a taste for blood and runs the leftists off post for good.

Look between your legs, Virginia. Anything there? Use them!

President Biden continues to give America confidence as a powerful, brilliant, strong, vital leader. (It was hard to type that LOL. I feel like it should have autocorrected or something).

He did this town hall event with CNN. They treated him like the doddering old man he is and basically held his hand through the entire thing.

The didn’t press him on the border, inflation, COVID, or really anything. They asked him some pre-approved questions and took all his answers at face value. I don’t know what they think that accomplishes for him. Frankly it just made him look even more frail.

My guess is they are just trying to keep him mobile until after November 2022 because his resignation and the coronation of that hideous Harris woman would likely lead to an even bigger blood bath than they are already about to face.

Build Back Better BS

Biden isn’t the only problem that the Dems are facing these days. While it’s a ton of fun for the Democrats to look at the Trumper problem (i.e. rednecks stay home unless someone reinstalls Trump as President), that is small potatoes compared to the issue the Dems have with their wing nuts.

The squadingtons have taken full on control of the House of Representatives. They claim that their socialist horror show of an agenda is popular and point to some polling that agrees with them. The problem is that the polls they are pointing to are deeply corrupt, they are deeply unpopular outside of their deep blue districts, and they are personally unlikable.

The nice thing for Republicans is that the squaders really have no ability to do anything to the GOP beyond making them more palatable to the American people by comparison. Defund the police. Climate insanity. Attacks on natural gas. Racism under every rock and around every corner. If you are a main stream Republican, you have to look at these people like manna from heaven.

As for this monstrosity of a bill… I honestly don’t have a clue what’s in it or why I should be in favor of it, and I’ve looked. Free community college wasn’t killed by Manchin… It was killed by the university industry. Free child care, free elder care, free blah blah blah, all already negotiated out of the bill by Democrat special interest. Even the climate provisions, which amount to nothing more than business regulation that will further marry American energy on overseas sources are also out.

So what exactly is still in this $2 Trillion dollar monstrosity? And why do I feel like it’s just going to make Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos more powerful?

For me… it’s a hard pass.
