Hello Substack, Goodbye The Facebook

I’m here to laugh at idiots, say things most won’t say, make inadvisable posts, and generally cause people to think.

Where does the name come from? Well… Virgil was a Roman poet, but the better version is the dude who guided Dante through Hell. So take that for what it’s worth.

This newsletter will not be perfectly edited. Sometimes it will have audio or video imbedded. It is not and never will be hateful. I love my country and the people who live in it. Part of loving something is being able to make fun of it. I don’t apologize for thinking what I think and we need more people to just say what they believe… this is America, after all. Unfortunately doing so with a name attached is currently impossible.

Facebook, Twitter, and the rest don’t allow for honest discourse. They are traps. They lure honest people in with a siren song and then shame them into conformity. This letter isn’t about conformity, it is about honesty. I hope you will find reading this honesty as refreshing as I do writing it.
