Where to start?

If you pay attention to the legacy news media at all, you have noticed that something is happening over at CNN. There have been articles leaking about the impending purchase of the network by Discovery Networks. Some of the largest stakeholders at Discovery have been vocal about the partisan nature of CNN and would like to see it get back to hard news. Chris Cuomo was fired. Jeff Zucker has resigned. The rest of the personalities over there are acting very nervously all of a sudden… So I’m going to try to break down what I think is happening over there and where I think all this is going.

Who Is Jeff Zucker?

Whether you realize it or not, Jeff Zucker has had a huge impact on American culture. Frankly, as tempting as it is for a person with my outlook to toss him aside as just another media liberal, he’s not. He was the driving force behind quite a lot of success at NBC. He had a lot to do with Friends becoming the cultural juggernaut that it did. He was also the guy who gave us the modern incarnation of Donald Trump through The Apprentice.

Jeff Zucker is blah blah blah….

NOBODY CARES ABOUT THIS… INCLUDING ME.
