Yeah, I'm Pretty Mad About It

Disclaimer: This is a bit of a lamentation. It’s not meant to be taken completely literally and it is certainly not an attack on my fellow Americans who see things differently from me. It is simply a comment, much like comments I’ve made before, on the press apparatus and those who control them. They are well deserving of some ire… and here it is.

We Are All Shell Shocked

Maybe it was four years of Donald Trump. Maybe it was the left’s unhinged reaction to him. It was also the constant accusations of racism and watching colleges, companies, individuals and others make hostage videos calling everyone deeply “white supremacist”.

It was also the overreaches of the #metoo movement where radical, blue haired, harpies declared that all women must be believed in every unhinged accusation. (Not for nothing… but is there a more privileged class in this country than an American woman? Buck up, ladies… You’re winning.)

Then came COVID. Then the race riots, always flanked by a gaslighting media elite. They gaslit us at a scale not seen before in this country. “This isn’t a burning city! This is a peaceful demonstration about how racist you are… racist".

Then Trump went crazy and encouraged a riot of his own. His lawyers stood on TV and claimed he had actually won an election he clearly lost. We watched Rudy Giuliani’s hair literally melt while explaining to supporters of the President that the vote counting machines were rigged. Unforgivable.

Then the radical left started yelling even louder. Climate hysteria, more racism, COVID insanity, CRT, teachers unions, masks, and new variants. Vaccines and “misinformation”… and Fauci, always Fauci telling us that if we remove the diaper from our faces, that people would die.

And just as the tiniest glimmer of hope began to shine and we thought that we might be through the worst of it… there is now a war between Russia and Ukraine, and according to the political class, we should all be in crisis again. The two parties and the press haven’t been able to agree on the weather since Trump came down the escalator… but they are unified on this. If that doesn’t bother you, we just aren’t watching the same things.

Dear reader, it’s been hell of a few years. It has taken its toll. Many of us are shell shocked and tired. We have become so accustomed to crisis that it seems normal now. It seems normal to wonder if the government will let you go to work, or let your child go to school. It seems normal hear someone describe this country as “systemically racist” as if that were some kind of settled fact, instead of the very definition of mendacity.

In short, the last 3 years have been traumatic, and we must deal with that trauma to move past it. We must demand accountability from those who traumatized this country, and never allow it to happen again.

America, it’s time to take our collective balls back. The first step is to to accept what happened and name who is at fault.

Never forget what they did to us.

Don’t for a single second, allow the media apparatus and their ghoulish puppet masters in the political and bureaucratic halls of power distract you from their crimes with yet another crisis.

These despotic minions of Hell took the neuroticism that has developed among younger Americans living in crowded metropolitan areas, and sent their anxiety into hyperdrive with intentionally hyperbolic and exaggerated computer models.

After years of those same elite windbags telling children that masculinity is wrong, to never fight, that if they get lost to stay put and not help themselves, that nothing is their fault, and that they are either victims or perpetrators of one societal ill or another… they then told them an unseen, unstoppable, plague was going to kill them. They told them the cure was to close themselves off to the world and stay home.

They told them that their fellow citizens weren’t only their enemy, but that mere exposure to them would cause their lungs to stop working. They convinced them that a man trying to keep his business open and his employees on payroll and his livelihood going was somehow… SELFISH. But sitting at home and demanding that armed government agents force him into the poorhouse was virtuous.

They declared a war on small businesses while shoveling money to already filthy rich robber-barons. Sure… they complained about Jeff Bezos’ tax rate. But they did it while doubling his net worth… At the same time they told the owner of your corner bar that he was “greedy” for wanting to stay open.

From their beach and mountain houses on Zoom happy hours with home delivery wine, they insulted middle and working class Americans who had no child care, no job, no money, and no place to go. They implied that their sacrifice was somehow the same. To this day, those soulless pod people have no idea what they did to us. They have no idea how much they hurt us, and how much they cost us. They have no idea how much the working man and woman in this country resent them.

They called people “irresponsible” for wanting to hold a dying parent’s hand when they left this world, and they prevented them from giving that parent a Christian burial with friends and family to celebrate their life. Who gave them the right to do that?

How dare they call anyone nonessential? Who voted for them? Who gave them the power to make such a determination? Personally, I can’t think of anything on earth less “essential” than some botox addled Twitter twit and his or her idiotic opinions on my medical choices.

And then there’s the children… What they did to this country’s children is evil. You don’t have to be a developmental psychologist to know that you don’t cover the face of a young child. You don’t teach children that they should not see each other’s smiles and frowns. You don’t tell children that they will get sick from hugs. You don’t tell children that they aren’t allowed to play with each other. What kind of sick depraved horror show of a person could even imagine such a thing?

There was never any evidence that this illness was dangerous to children. And as for the argument that the children could become carriers, all I have to say about that is that is that they are cowards. You would sacrifice the joy and healthy development of children because you are afraid? God damn you, you coward.

And this diatribe doesn’t even touch the damage they did to us. Volumes will be written on it for years. Now, they expect us to just forget and move on. They expect not to pay a price.

I don’t have their power or influence, but as long as I have ink in my pen and air in my lungs, I’ll remind people what they did. They should be put out of a job. They should be publicly shamed. They should never be in a position of influence again.

They continue to gaslight us by pointing to inflated death numbers and make no attempt to calculate the cost of their policies. The suicides, the overdoses, the depression, the bankruptcies… all just collateral damage… not even worth counting.

And yes, the death numbers are hugely inflated. Even the Fauci freaks no longer believe the estimates. How many are people who died with COVID vs. from COVID. They won’t tell you… They think if you find out, you’ll call for their heads. Finally, something they are right about.

They hurt us. They did it on purpose. They came up with some idiotic social experiment in the bowels of the Ivy League and found an excuse to bring totalitarianism to America. They thought it was the only thing that could bring down Trump. They got in over their heads and didn’t know how to back up. Believe it… because that’s exactly what happened.

The next thing

Now, the very moment that those same ghouls were no longer able to control the American public through COVID neuroticism, and constant accusations of racism, their other obsession took over the narrative. Russia! Russia! Russia!

Jee… where have I heard that before? What a remarkable coincidence that it popped up now.

In the midst of skyrocketing inflation and soaring energy prices, due to an idiotic economic policy that even a first year macroeconomics student could, and did predict would lead to inflation… Russia invaded Ukraine. Somehow, this has been portrayed as an emergency for us, here at home.

Well, I don’t buy it. I don’t believe what they are telling me.

It took a couple of weeks, but now the new narrative is beginning to form. It was hard to see at first exactly what the bastards in the press and the ivory tower politicians were up to, but it’s starting to come into focus now. This all about energy. It’s an energy “emergency”.

Only a couple of years ago, the US was energy independent. One of the things that the Orange Menace did that almost everyone should agree with, is that he broke us from our addiction to foreign oil. We beefed up natural gas production and made investments in clean coal. We pumped our own oil.

This all happened while “hair on fire” Tick-Tock trollop congresswomen complained, nonstop. The unhinged crones on cable news constantly whined that you use too much. With more and more climate lunacy, they lied about fracking and the impact of pipelines. They insisted on “investing” your money in technologies that are not only hugely expensive, but don’t work. All the while, they have secretly been getting us back on that rotten tit, foreign oil.

Why would they do this, you might ask? It’s not because of the climate. There is nothing wrong with the climate. The environment is cleaner than any time since the industrial revolution. Furthermore, foreign oil is much dirtier than domestic natural gas.

The answer is that they wanted to perform another social experiment… also probably cooked up in some Ivy League hell hole, by a bunch of people who will never suffer the consequences. They want middle and working class Americans to use less energy. That will make them more controllable. After all, if someone can turn your heat off in the winter, you’ll get as docile around them as a plow mule.

Don’t believe me? Fine, then you tell me why we don’t cure the emissions problem in this country. We could do it in about 20 years by fracking our asses off and building nuclear power plants all over the country. That would cure it. Everyone knows it. And they won’t even discuss it. You tell me why we have to buy oil from despots when we have our own energy sources here at home.

As for this Russia thing… It’s a distraction. It’s a shiny object to point at, in a desperate hope to distract you from the fact that gas prices were skyrocketing long before the war in Ukraine. It’s something to distract you from being angry about their crimes over COVID.

I have all the respect in the world for the people of Ukraine defending their homeland. I believe they deserve our support and I am in favor of helping them, to the extent that we reasonably can. But don’t confuse their struggle for ours. Russia isn’t invading your home town… the elites are. As a matter of fact, they are already there.

Moving forward

Now for a little good news. We are not in a crisis right now. As difficult as that is to believe, it’s true.

Like always, we have problems. Crime has gone out of control thanks to yet another social experiment that could only come from the dumpster fire that is elite academia; “I wonder what would happen if we stopped enforcing the law…”.

We have inflation and high energy prices. There are still COVID neurotics we have to deal with from time to time. But the simple fact is, this is not an emergency. It’s time to breathe and it’s time to stop listening to the people who tell us we are all about to die.

America is going to be okay. Donald Trump didn’t destroy this country and neither will Joe Biden. Both will go down in history as net negatives, but it’s nothing that we can’t handle. The midterms are coming up and I am hopeful that the left will face an extinction level event. I am equally hopeful that Donald Trump, for all his blustering, will not run again… and it’s not obvious that he would sweep the primaries were he to try.

Energy prices will drop. The war in Ukraine will end. The sun will still rise in the east and still set in the west. We cannot give in to distraction anymore. We can no longer look to immoral, overeducated, millionaires for advice on how we should live. They are ghouls and most of them are deeply unhappy, anyway. And you can take that to the bank… there are no unhappier people on the planet than the cloistered elite. It’s time to ignore them.

The best thing to do is to raise your children with your values, to be good to your friends and neighbors. You should find success and money where you can and use them to make your family’s life better. The best thing to do is to ignore anyone who tells you what to say, think, or do. Just get back to being a free adult American who isn’t in a constant panic.

Oh… and lay off the booze and pot. It’s not good for you and you are using it as a crutch. Our society has PTSD… You can’t self medicate your way through it. You have to face the trauma, work for some kind of justice, and then bravely… soberly… get back to living. You can do it.

Non Sequitur

Very cool news from Substack! They have finally created their reader app! I read several people’s columns on Substack, including Glen Greenwald, Bari Weiss, Michael Shellenberger and others… but, frankly I don’t want to get all of their newsletters in my email. Some of them publish every day or more…
